Operating services

There are five main train operators providing services from Peterborough station.

Virgin Trains East Coast provides high-speed inter-city train services along the East Coast Main Line between London, Peterborough, Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland.

Great Northern (Govia Thameslink Railway) provides a slower and cheaper service between Peterborough and London. These services stops at a number of stations between Peterborough and London.

East Midland Trains provide cross country services along the following routes:

  • Liverpool – Manchester – Sheffield – Nottingham – Grantham – Peterborough – March – Ely – Cambridge or Norwich
  • Peterborough – Spalding – Sleaford – Lincoln – Doncaster
